Monte has more than 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry, and has served in several roles, including investment banker, biotechnology securities analyst, senior operating manager, and research scientist. Before co-founding Four Oaks Partners in 2012, Monte was a partner in P2 Partners, a life sciences advisory firm he co-founded with Dan Petree in 2000. Prior to P2, he was President of M.W. Pitt Associates, a financial advisory services business that he founded, which focused on M&A transactions. Monte’s investment banking and securities analyst experience includes Vice President positions, most recently at Musket Research Associates, preceded by Cowen & Company (where he was also a Special Limited Partner), Shearson Lehman Brothers, and Duff & Phelps. Monte also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TSI Corporation and began his career as a research scientist for Abbott Laboratories and Genentech. Monte received his BS and MS in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin and his MM from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.
